Spice Girl Mel C Ties the Knot: A Look Inside Her Wedding Day
Melanie Chisholm, also known as Mel C, recently married her Australian partner Chris Dingwall in a picturesque countryside wedding in England. The couple actually tied the knot in a secret ceremony in Sydney before celebrating with family and friends in the Lake District of England. The UK celebration was more of a symbolic event rather than a legal one.
Details of the wedding emerged as Vogue magazine published a feature on the couple’s special day. It was revealed that Mel C had the words ‘Sydney’ and the date of the first ceremony embroidered in blue on the inside of her custom Victoria Beckham wedding gown as her ‘something blue’. Beckham, who designed the elegant backless gown, was surprised to learn about the wedding plans just days before Mel C boarded her flight.
Although Beckham was unable to attend the English celebration due to World Cup commitments in the US with her husband David Beckham, she still played a role in Mel C’s marriage by gifting her the bespoke wedding dress. Mel C was surrounded by her Spice Girls bandmates Emma Bunton, Melanie Brown, and Geri Halliwell-Horner at the England ceremony.
