Special Task Force Formed by AGO to Handle Febrie Adriansyah Case, Dominated by 9 Former KPK Prosecutors

Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) of Kejagung, Anang Supriatna, stated in a press release at Kejagung, Jakarta, on Wednesday (15/7), that the team consists of nine individuals, some of whom are former prosecutors who have previously served at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
Some of the names in the team include Riyono and Chatarina Muliana Girsang. Riyono previously served as a prosecutor at the KPK until 2015 and now holds the position of Financial Inspector I at the Financial Inspection Center of Kejagung.
During his time at the KPK, he handled major cases such as the corruption case involving the Police Traffic Corps SIM simulator that implicated Djoko Susilo.
Meanwhile, Chatarina previously served as the Head of the Legal Bureau at KPK from 2005 to 2011. She currently serves as the Head of the Asset Recovery Center at Kejagung since April 2026, after previously serving as the Attorney General of Bali.
One of the major cases she handled was the corruption case involving Budi Gunawan in 2015.
Anang also announced that Kejagung issued three Investigation Orders (sprindik) related to allegations of corruption and money laundering in the supply of coal to PLN, Asabri, and Krakatau Steel.
– Sprindik Number 43: allegations of corruption and money laundering at PT Krakatau Steel.
– Sprindik Number 44: allegations of corruption related to PLN power plant projects.
– Sprindik Number 45: allegations of corruption at PT Asabri.
With the issuance of these sprindiks, the handling of the cases has officially been transferred from the Police to Kejagung.
Anang emphasized that Kejagung will continue to coordinate with the Police and will engage the KPK for supervision of the investigation.
Although the sprindiks have just been issued, Anang stressed that Febrie’s suspect status remains unchanged. Previously, the Police had named Febrie Adriansyah as a suspect in the case of alleged corruption and money laundering related to coal supply to PLN, Asabri, and Krakatau Steel. The designation was made after searches at several locations from 8-10 July 2026.
