Anthony Hopkins: Renowned Actor to Debut Classical Music LP
Renowned actor Anthony Hopkins, at the age of 88, is set to release a new album of classical music titled “Life Is a Dream.” This album features orchestral works composed by Hopkins over the span of six decades. Hopkins expressed his lifelong passion for music, stating that composing has always been his first desire. He credited conductor Gustavo Dudamel for his guidance and contribution to the album.
One of the tracks from the album, “Bracken Road,” was released recently. This composition originated from Hopkins’s Suite for Solo Piano and Orchestra in 1947, which he first conceived while working at the Liverpool Playhouse in 1963. The track is a nostalgic tribute to Hopkins’s childhood memories of Margam, South Wales, depicting the landscapes he grew up around in the 1940s.
In addition to his musical endeavors, Hopkins also published his memoir titled “We Did OK, Kid” in November 2025. The album “Life Is a Dream” showcases Hopkins’s musical talent and his deep connection to his Welsh roots.
